Direct answer: Resize hundreds of product photos at once while keeping the subject centered and marketplace-compliant.
Starting 2026-07-31, PicTools includes a batch smart resize workflow that detects the primary subject in each image and resizes around it rather than cropping from the center. The engine runs a lightweight segmentation pass to locate the subject boundary, then computes the largest rectangle that keeps the subject within the target aspect ratio while respecting minimum padding rules. This avoids the common problem where a centered crop cuts off part of a tall product or leaves too much whitespace around a small item.
What Is New
- Subject-aware crop — Detects the product boundary and keeps it centered with consistent padding
- Batch processing — Handles up to 500 images per batch with per-file timing
- Marketplace presets — One-click targets for Amazon, eBay, Shopify, and Etsy dimension rules
- Preview before commit — See the crop overlay on the first image before running the full batch
How It Works
Upload your images, choose the target dimensions or marketplace preset, and the engine processes each file in about 1–3 seconds. Download individual results or the entire batch as a ZIP. Available now for all registered users. Questions or feedback: sapsap@qq.com.
